John
has 21 years of experience as an independent property
adjuster. The fact that he graduated from Widener University
with a bachelor of science degree in accounting makes
him uniquely qualified to handle commercial claims, including
stock and business income losses. John holds the Associate
In Claims (AIC) designation from the Insurance Institute
of America and also is a member of the International Association
of Arson Investigators (New Jersey Chapter). He has studied
building damage estimation at the Vale National Training
Center and regularly attends the annual Property Loss
Research Bureau Educational Conference. John is a current
member of the Loss Executives Association and has attended
the National Forum for Property Loss Professionals which
is held annually in Princeton, NJ. John’s expertise includes
handling commercial losses in excess of $1 million and
was instrumental in settling what is currently believed
to be the largest personal lines fire loss in the country
(which occurred in 1996). John has been appointed appraiser
and umpire in a wide variety of formal appraisal proceedings
and has appeared as a damage expert in New Jersey court.
Andrew has 12 years of experience as an independent property
adjuster and is widely considered one of the outstanding
young adjusters in the state of New Jersey. He joined
Decker Associates shortly after graduating from Stockton
State College with a degree in business management. Along
with John Decker, he holds his AIC designation from the
Insurance Institute of America. Andrew routinely handles
"heavy" commercial and personal lines property claims.
He attends the Property Loss Research Bureau Educational
Conference annually.
ALLEN G. BLACKMAN ADJUSTER
Allen received his bachelor of science
degree from Norwich University in 1966. He began his adjusting
career with Firemen’s Fund Insurance Company in 1968,
then worked as an independent adjuster for R. F. Stumpf
Associates, Inc. In 1982, Mr. Blackman received his General
Adjuster designation and began handling more complex commercial
property and time element losses. He joined Decker Associates
in 1999.
MICHAEL P. DONNELLY, AIC ADJUSTER
Mike graduated in 1985 from West Virginia
University with a degree in psychology. He graduated with
a 3.8 overall GPA and was a member of the Golden Key National
Honor Society. Employed by Allstate Insurance Company
as a claims adjuster for two years, Mike attended Property
Technical School as well as Policy Coverage School. Prior
to joining Decker Associates in December of 1988, Mike
received the Chairman Award designation from Allstate.
He has considerable catastrophe adjusting experience,
including an extended stay in Florida dealing with the
aftermath of "Hurricane Andrew." He holds his AIC designation
from the Insurance Institute of America.
JUSTIN C. FLOYD ADJUSTER
Justin has been with Decker Associates
for over 6 years. He broke into the property adjusting
field with Aetna Property & Casualty Company, attending
their Commercial Property Coverage and Property Damage
Estimating schools. Justin has unique experience in the
property field having operated his own general contracting
company in Berkeley Heights, NJ, and working as a union
carpenter for several years. He holds a bachelor of science
degree from Franciscan University of Ohio. Justin is completing
his AIC courses with the Insurance Institute of America.
NICHOLAS J. PISANI ADJUSTER
"Nick" as he is known to his many friends
in the industry, has been a claims adjuster in New Jersey
for some 30 years. He served as branch manager in the
Morristown office of the General Adjustment Bureau prior
to joining the Mutual Fire Insurance Association of New
England where he was regional claims manager for approximately
9 years before joining our firm. His vast experience makes
him well qualified to handle property or marine claims
of any size or complexity. Nick is a graduate of Rider
College, possessing a bachelor of science degree. He also
received an honorable discharge from the United States
Navy.
ROBERT H. RATHMANN ADJUSTER
After graduating from Gettysburg College
in 1960, Mr. Rathmann joined the Home Insurance Company
where he was territorial examiner for Inland Marine &
Commercial Burglary lines until 1964. He then joined the
General Adjustment Bureau and was promoted to branch manager
of the Totowa, NJ office in 1972. From 1978 through 1984,
Mr. Rathmann held the position of regional inland marine
supervisor for the Bureau. He has completed general insurance
and inland marine coverages courses at the College of
Insurance; general insurance and property and casualty
insurance courses through the Professional Insurance Agents
program; and inland marine, damage appraisal, and basic
management courses at the General Adjustment Bureau school.
Mr. Rathmann joined the independent adjusting firm of
R. F. Stumpf Associates in 1985, where he handled "heavy"
type property claims as well as inland marine claims.
Mr. Rathmann joined Decker Associates in 1999.
DONALD J. RITCHIE ADJUSTER
Don received his honorable discharge from
the United States Navy in 1963. He went to work for Kemper
Insurance Company in New York City, handling both first
and third party claims, including boiler and machinery.
Don went to work for the Continental Insurance Company
in Newark, NJ, in 1966, where he primarily handled first
party losses. In 1973, Don became a professional firefighter
with the Union City Fire Department, at which time he
worked for Decker Associates on a part-time basis. With
the advent of his retirement from the fire department,
he joined our team on a permanent basis. Don also is a
certified state fire inspector.

NJ, OFFICE
ROBERT H. STUMPF MANAGER
Mr. Stumpf graduated from Bucknell University
in 1958, after which he worked as staff superintendent
with the Underwriters Salvage Company. He joined his family
business, R. F. Stumpf Associates, Inc., in 1963. Mr.
Stumpf owned and headed this successful multi-line adjusting
company for approximately 25 years, then joined Decker
Associates in 1999. Bob brings vast experience to our
organization in his ability to handle property claims
of any size or complexity. He has attended thirty-three
Loss Managers Conferences sponsored by the Property Loss
Research Bureau as well as several sessions of the National
Forum for Property Loss Professionals. He is a member
of the International Institute of Loss Adjusters, Inc.,
the Independent Insurance Adjusters Association of New
Jersey (past president), the Loss Executives Association,
and the Property Loss Association of New York.
H. JAMES KLOS ADJUSTER
Jim Klos graduated Lehigh University in
1949 and began his insurance career that same year with
Employers Liability as a casualty adjuster. In 1952, he
moved to Fireman's Fund where he remained as assistant
claims manager and assistant regional claims manager.
In 1962, he went out on his own forming the partnership
of Hare & Klos, Independent Adjusters, in Philadelphia,
PA, and has worked as an independent property adjuster
since then. Prior to joining Decker Associates in 1999,
he worked in our Barnegat office for Stumpf Associates.
JOEL P. MENZZOPANE ADJUSTER
Joel is the most recent addition to Decker Associates' professional staff. He graduated, with a business degree, from Lehigh University. Joel was voted Outstanding College Athlete of America in 1972. Joel was employed by GAB Business Services from 1974 through 1988. He handled both commercial and personal lines property claims and was eventually promoted to Branch Manager. In 1988 this adjuster went to work for Cigna Insurance Companies and obtained Outstanding Performance Awards for ten straight years. Joel's career training is extensive, including Vale National Advanced Estimatics, Advanced Computer Estimating, Salvage Handling Techniques, Commercial Roofing Seminar, Boiler and Machinery Seminar, etc.
WALTER P. ROSSLER ADJUSTER
Walter is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson
University. He began his insurance career with John Weis
& Company, Agents, in Wayne, NJ. He has approximately
15 years of experience as an insurance agent, in addition
to 6 years as a real estate broker and general building
contractor. He has worked as an independent property adjuster
since 1975, joining Decker Associates in 1999.
